Erin Poole (she/her) is a Toronto-based dance artist, facilitator, choreographer and researcher. Her practice is informed by her 8 years as an ensemble dancer at Toronto Dance Theatre (2016-2024) and a range of experiences working in contemporary, discursive, and collaborative practices that foreground process and relationality. Her choreographic work focuses on subjectivity in femme acts of elegy and mourning and has developed through Nuit Blanche, CLEaR Forum, The School of Making Thinking, and Atlas Program at Impulstanz.

As a dancer she has performed and toured internationally  in works by Andrew Tay, Michele Rizzo, Ashley Colours Perez, Jeanine Durning, Christopher House, Ame Henderson, D.A. Hoskins, Marie Lambin-Gagnon, Alyssa Martin, Jose Navas, and Laurence Lemieux and has been nominated for six Dora Mavor Moore Awards.Her research has been presented at FOOT conference (UofT), Critical Femininities Conference (York University), and a written piece published in The Capilano Review Dance Issue (2020). 

She currently co-organizes dance practice shares in Toronto under the collective ‘We Need It’ to foster experimental dancing community, and is expanding her research in performance and social practice through an MA degree at York University.
